MESA TRIME Surface Mounted Moisture Probes

MESA TRIME GW3 Transmitters are compatible with our Surface Probes, versions GS-1 and GS-2. GS probes measure moisture, continuously, at process temperatures up to 260 F. The GS probes are selected when flush-mounting is required and can be supplied with PEEK-coating or uncoated. Either version of the GS probe can be supplied curved, for mounting in an auger or other special installations. The coated-versions of the GS probes are more suitable for wetter and higher conductivity materials while the non-coated GS probes are suitable for materials without surface water.

Once the optimum probe head is selected, it is paired with a MESA TRIME GW3 transmitter. A temperature sensor is located behind the probe’s face to measure the temperature of the material and may be used for material calibration temperature compensation. The measurement of temperature is available, only with a digital interface.

When SM TEMP modules are remotely located and will be interfaced to a PLC or SCADA system, the MESA M-PIM-0212 Process Interface Module connects up to 16 points with a reliable serial data bus. The M-PIM is described in detail bellow.
