KLS 15W Full Duplex Data and Power Coupling

The KLS 15W power and data coupling system is a contact-free RS 232 data link between a rotating shaft mounted electronic system and the remotely located PLC. The stationary coupler transfers electrical power to the shaft-mounted segmented ring. RS 232 serial data are exchanged bidirectional to the remote processor via the inductive antennas.

The main system is powered by 24 V DC +/- 1 V. There is 15 V DC +/- 1 V at 15 W available on the rotary side. The Data Transfer (NRZ full duplex RS 232) has a maximum transfer rate of 115 K Baud The ring has a 2200 RPM maximum rotation speed.
