TRIME-T3 44-mmTube Access Probe

The TRIME-T3 tube access probe is a system designed especially for vertical water content profiling in thin walled access tubes. The T3 has a cylindrical PVC-body, which has four spring-mounted, curved aluminum plates located on opposite sides of the probe body. Each set of plates function as TDR-wave guides (like a traditional rod-probe), that presses against the inside of the access tube once the probe is inserted. The tube access probe is designed to measure from the inside of the special 44-mm plastic access tubes. The tube access probe easily slides up or down the access tube to the location where a measurement is to be made. The tubes may be left in the soil and/or removed. Access tube installation is conveniently accomplished using a specially developed auger/drilling tube insertion set. Accessories for stopping the tube bottom and capping the tube top are standard. Other insertion methods are also possible. We paired with a TRIME-FM the maximum available length of probe cable is 3.5 m.
