ALPHA Power Transmission System

The ALPHA Inductive Power Transmission System is a highly integrated system for non-contact transmission of power across a small air gap (0 to 4-mm). When mounted directly across for one another, power is transferred for the primary module to the secondary module. Power, up to 4.8 Watt regulated at 24 V DC or optionally regulated to 4.2 VDC or 8.4 VDC, to load one (1) or two (2) Li-Poly cells. The power is transferred at a high rate of efficiency. The power can be switched on/off to generate a 1-bit transmission signal.

The Alpha’s active coupling area comprises of two facing modules both having an Ø 30-mm and a length of 50-mm. We offer 5-meter long cables with either straight or 90-degree connectors, which are required. Contact MESA for other cable options.

Each module’s stainless steel housing has a Delrin tips and is potted for environmental protection. The Alpha modules are rated to IP 67 or optionally, the modules can be supplies with an IP 68 rating. The status of power is indicated by on LED on each module.
