OH-JOY Li-Ion Battery Charge Coupler

Inductively coupled Li-Ion Battery Charge Coupler. Designed to supply up to 1-Amp at 6 V across a 1/4" (6.3-mm) air-gap and indicate the percent charge status via LEDs.

The "Base Station", powered by 24 V DC and included the primary inductive power coupling, communications coupling and charge status indication LEDs. The secondary "Remote" board supplies power to the Li-Ion battery up to 1-Amp and communicates the battery charge status back to the Base Station. Power coupling is secure and available only when a Remote module is within range of the Base Station PCB.

The Remote module is thin (<1/2") and small in size for easy integration.

The Remote module can supply power to any Linear Technology type ICs that manages the loading of Li-Ion or Li-Poly batteries.
